Howto: Honda Ruckus GY6 Stretch Kit Install
This is the installation instructions for the SFT GY6 Fatty Stretch Kit. This kit will allow you to use a GY6 150cc long case motor on you Honda Ruckus. Additional parts may be required in order to complete a Ruckus GY6 swap. Please see our GY6 guide on what you need in order to do a Ruckus GY6 Swap.
As with all aftermarket Small Fast Things Ruckus and GY6 parts, use and install at your own risk.
All parts are for show use only.
The first step is to remove all the stock Ruckus wiring, stock motor mount, and motor. You will pretty much have a disassembled Ruckus rear frame to work with. You should also considered completing any necessary painting or powdercoating before installing this kit.
This install guide will skip to the part where you are ready to install the GY6 mount on the Ruckus frame:
First, install the T-bracket under the front cross bar on the rear Ruckus frame. Ruckus frame is shown upside down for demonstration purposes. The T-Bracket is slotted to allow alignment adjustment with the long strut if needed. Tighten bracket bolts to 8 ft/lbs.
Bolt on long strut to T-bracket. See next step as to where the long strut mounts onto the GY6 Stretch. Notice the bolt torque specs.
Ensure proper alignment of long strut. Also make note of proper position of the collars on the GY6 mount. Installed mount and Ruck frame shown upside down for demonstration purposes.

Bolt on extended shock arm. Tighten shock frame bolt to spec.
To finish installation, bolt on GY6 150cc motor, shock, and wheel or choice. Ensure all bolts are loctited and torqued to spec before riding. As with all aftermarket Small Fast Things Ruckus and GY6 parts, use and install at your own risk. All parts are for show use only.
